Now you can take a private lesson with Ed Dabney anytime, anywhere through the use of remote video.

Whether Ed is in the US or in Europe you can still take a lesson with him anytime you like.

The very simple procedure for taking a private video lesson from Ed is:

  1. Use any video camera and have someone film your ride or the particular issue with which you would like to have Ed's consultation. The highest quality video you can provide would be the best - in focus, good lighting, steady and close up.

  2. Email madeline@eddabney.com for simple instructions on uploading your video to Ed through the use of Dropbox.com on your computer. You do not have to be a "high tech" person to accomplish this. Madeline and Dropbox will do almost all of it for you.

Ed receives your video, analyzes it using EquineTec video analysis software and downloads it back into your dropbox. You will receive an email notifying you that your completed video lesson is available for your viewing. Click on your dropbox icon on your computer desktop where your new lesson is stored on your computer and watch your lesson. Simple!

EquineTec is a new, cutting edge technology developed over the past two years by Dabney Gentle Horsemanship team working with a team of top software designers. EquineTec can greatly increase the value of your instructional video by displaying detailed analysis of your videos through the use of specially designed features including:

  • on screen drawing, angle, text and measurement tools
  • recorded voice commentary
  • variable slow motion
  • stop action and frame by frame
  • split screen comparisons
  • zoom

As Ed records audio commentary on your video his live face will appear in the corner of your video so you know for sure Ed is the one producing your lesson and you are able to see his expressions as he talks to you just as if he were in the arena with you. Ed's audio commentary and any drawings he does on screen to emphasize moments of interest or areas of improvement will appear on screen when you are watching your lesson video.

Your credit card will be charged $55 per lesson. Unlike a live lesson, you now have your lesson video to keep, review and watch as many times as you like. You'll be able to store all of your video lessons in order to track and document your progress.

Now you no longer have to wait for Ed to be in your area to give you a private lesson.
Start receiving excellent instruction today by sending us your video!
